In 2021, Polenergia launched its educational 'Books for Climate' campaign. 750 books, which suggest how to take care of clean air and halt climate change, were distributed to seventeen municipal and school libraries in locations where the Group is implementing its green investments.
With ‘Books for Climate’, we are sensitising young people to the issue of caring for the future of our planet. Building informed and socially responsible attitudes is essential in the face of the challenges that present and future generations must face in the coming years. Climate change is no longer just a ‘potential’ threat. They have a direct and increasingly visible impact on human life and ecosystems. We are already seeing the catastrophic effects of global warming in the form of an increasing number of extreme weather conditions, such as heat waves, intense rainfall, snowless winters, rising sea and ocean levels and the rapid melting of glaciers. The wonderful books donated to municipal and school libraries are a source of inspiration and interesting, but above all reliable knowledge on how to take care of our nature.
Polenergia has been working with local communities for years. In its activities, it supports residents by carrying out actions in the fields of education, culture and the arts, as well as promoting physical activity. In the municipalities where it makes investments, it takes special care of the environment. This is extremely important because Polenergia’s business is based on Renewable Energy Sources, which convert the energy of the sun and wind into clean electricity.
