Books for the Climate

The World Wind Day, which falls on 15 June, is a great opportunity to launch Polenergia’s new educational campaign “Books for the Climate”. 750 books which will help readers care for clean air and stop climate changes, will be donated to 17 township and school libraries in the locations where Polenergia executes its green projects.

We hope that thanks to the “Books for the Climate” initiative, we will manage to make young people more aware about the question of caring for the future of our planet. Building conscious and socially responsible attitudes is indispensable in the face of the challenges that will have to be addressed in the years to come by the current and future generations.Climate changes are not only a “potential” threat. They have a direct, increasingly visible impact on the life of people and ecosystems. Already today we can see the catastrophic effects of global warming in the form of increasing numbers of extreme weather conditions, such as heat waves, intensive precipitation, snowless winters, rising sea and ocean levels or rapid melting of glaciers. We hope that the great books donated to township and school libraries will be a source of inspiration and interesting, reliable knowledge about how to care for the nature.

Polenergia has been cooperating with local communities for many years. In our activity we support the residents carrying out activities in the field of education, culture and art as well as promotion of physical activity. In the townships in which we execute our projects, we take special care of the natural environment. This is extremely important to us, because our activity is based on renewable energy sources which convert the energy of the sun and wind into clean electricity. We make people aware and explain that caring for the nature makes sense, because one can live, learn and work in harmony with nature.
