Education of staff that will make it possible to tap the potential of the Polish offshore wind farm market.
Since November 2019 Polenergia and Equinor have collaborated with the Gdańsk University of Technology (GUT) and the Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society (PTMEW) in running university programs for the future offshore wind energy sector staff. Polenergia’s employees involved in the development of offshore projects became lecturers of postgraduate studies in offshore wind energy held at the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology of GUT.
The Polenergia Group established cooperation with the Gdańsk University of Technology because the success of offshore wind energy in Poland relies on appropriately educated and trained engineering and technical staff, who will fully secure the development opportunities of this sector. This cooperation is an opportunity to acquire knowledge and learn best global practices in the field of offshore.
In addition, Equinor and Polenergia supported the organization of the Baltic Energy Industry Forum in 2019.
