The Hydrogen Class from Nowa Sarzyna Attended the H2Poland Hydrogen Fair

From April 14th to 16th, the largest hydrogen fair in Poland, H2Poland, took place in Poznań.

Polenergia was represented by the Director of Hydrogen Project Development, Emilia Makarewicz, who was a panelist during a discussion titled “How to Effectively Finance the Hydrogen Transformation?”. Besides Emilia Makarewicz, the discussion (moderated by Szymon Byliński, Director of the Department of Electromobility and Hydrogen Economy at the Ministry of Climate and Environment) included experts from the Orlen Group, ZE PAK, and BGK Bank.

The visit to the H2Poland fair was not only about substantive discussions but also an opportunity to learn about green hydrogen. The Hydrogen Class from the First High School in Nowa Sarzyna, sponsored by Polenergia, had the chance to experience this in practice. Seventeen students from the class attended the fair with us and toured Poznań during the three-day trip. The Hydrogen Class has been under the patronage of Polenergia for a year as part of the educational program Play Green with Us!®.

On the first day of the fair, the students had the opportunity to independently explore the exhibits, participate in panels, and attend workshops. On the second day, the class participated in a series of lectures, organized by Polenergia, about careers in the hydrogen industry. Special emphasis was placed on the participation of women in industry, business, and science. During the lectures with representatives from Hystar AS, EPK S.A., Biproraf, INIG, and Air Products, we tried to answer the question of how our educational choices affect our careers and what the career paths of our speakers in the hydrogen field were.

One of the lectures was conducted by our experts – Aleksander Korytkowski and Jakub Niestryjewski – who shared their experiences related to designing, constructing, and delivering equipment in the green hydrogen sector. Polenergia’s initiative was met with enthusiasm from the students, who not only were able to expand their knowledge of modern technologies but also became interested in the career opportunities in the rapidly developing green hydrogen sector.
