Omnibus Eco-logical Olympiad

Omnibus Eco-logical Olympiad

The Pelplin Town and Commune Office, in cooperation with primary schools in the Pelplin Commune and the Polenergia Group, organized an ecological Olympiad for primary school students from the Pelplin Commune.

  • category I: students from grades I – III,
  • category II: students from grades IV – VI,
  • category III: students from grades VII – VIII.

First, a school stage was held, which selected up to four students with the best results to advance to the commune stage.

At the commune stage, all participants took part in a written knowledge test. The ten students with the highest scores advanced to the Olympiad final, which took the form of a knowledge quiz.

During the final, students answered questions they had drawn. The top three participants advanced to the second part of the final, “First Come, First Served,” where students volunteered to answer questions.

The Olympiad final was organized at one of the commune’s primary schools – the Education and Upbringing Complex in Rudno.

The Competition Committee awarded material prizes in each category, funded by Polenergia: 

  • First place – a gift voucher worth 300 PLN,
  • Second place – a gift voucher worth 200 PLN,
  • Third place – a gift voucher worth 100 PLN.
  • First place: Igor Libiszewski from Primary School No. 2 named after Bishop Konstantyn Dominik in Pelplin
  • Second place: Antonina Marut-Raczyńska from Education and Upbringing Complex No. 1 named after John Paul II in Pelplin
  • Third place: Tymoteusz Brzoskowski from the Education and Upbringing Complex in Rajkowy
  • First place: Szymon Ladra from the Education and Upbringing Complex in Rudno
  • Second place: Szymon Włoch from Education and Upbringing Complex No. 1 named after John Paul II in Pelplin
  • Third place: Martyna Murzydło from Primary School No. 2 named after Bishop Konstantyn Dominik in Pelplin
  • First place: Agata Wysocka from the Education and Upbringing Complex in Rudno
  • Second place: Stanisław Wysocki from the Education and Upbringing Complex in Kulice
  • Third place: Agata Wałdowska from the Education and Upbringing Complex in Rudno

Congratulations to the laureates!

The prizes were funded by Polenergia S.A. as part of the educational project Play Green with Us!®, implemented by Polenergia, Kulczyk Foundation, and UNEP/GRID-Warsaw.

Additionally, special prizes were awarded by the Mayor of Pelplin Town and Commune, worth 2000 PLN, for the schools whose students accumulated the highest total number of points:

  • category I – III: Education and Upbringing Complex No. 1 named after John Paul II in Pelplin,
  • category IV – VI: Education and Upbringing Complex in Rudno,
  • category VII – VIII: Education and Upbringing Complex in Rudno.

During the final of the Olympiad, representatives from Polenergia’s ESG Team: Magdalena Głowacka-Lorek and Agnieszka Łukasiak, were present.

As Polenergia, we prioritize climate action and climate education. Therefore, we thank all participants for taking part in the Olympiad and for their care for the environment around us.
