Environmental protection is a cornerstone of maintaining ecosystem balance and biodiversity. In 2025, the Polenergia Group consistently implemented initiatives aimed at exerting a positive impact on the natural environment while mitigating the adverse effects of its operations.

In 2025, Polenergia implemented a number of educational projects aimed not only at knowledge transfer but also at shaping pro-environmental attitudes. Environmental and climate education plays an important role in building social responsibility and therefore constitutes one of the key priorities of the Polenergia Group.

In November, the final of the 3rd Inter-School Eco-Logical OZE Omnibus took place — a competition organized for primary school students from the Town and Municipality of Pelplin. Once again, Polenergia was a partner of the event, supporting educational initiatives related to renewable energy sources and environmental protection.

The 2025 season marked another stage in Polenergia Group’s active protection of the Meadow Harrier, a programme that has been continuously implemented since 2014. The activities were carried out in the areas of five wind farms, in cooperation with experienced ornithologists and local farmers managing crops in the vicinity of the farms.

From May to August, Polenergia actively participated in key events for local communities, such as municipal harvest festivals, traditional “Dożynki” celebrations, and family picnics. These gatherings provided opportunities for collective celebration, exchange of experiences, learning, and community integration.

Built on several plots in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, the Puck Wind Farm will soon gain a new, green area designed to support biodiversity.

In August, the Polenergia Group, together with TELE-FONIKA Kable, carried out the mowing of 30 hectares of meadows and reed beds in the Landscape Park “Przemkowski Park Krajobrazowy”, thereby supporting the protection of the area’s biodiversity. This initiative is part of the Biodiversity Strategy and represents an element of Polenergia’s local engagement, accompanying the launch of the nearby Szprotawa Photovoltaic Farm.

From the beginning of April until the end of June, Polenergia employees took part in the POWER UP! sports challenge, competing and motivating each other along the way. For the third year in a row, Polenergia converted their kilometers, steps, and even workout time into a financial donation of PLN 30,000 to support the CukierAsy Association!

With the end of the 2024/2025 school year, the third edition of Polenergia’s educational program Play Green with Us! ^® has also come to an end. Over 80 primary schools and kindergartens located where Polenergia develops its projects have organized over 3,000 hours of eco-activities. Over 15,000 students participated in eco-lessons Play Green with Us! ^® in the third edition of the program.

Around 80 students from local primary schools took part in Bee Day organized by the Polenergia Group at the Sulechów Photovoltaic Farm. This event, combining education and fun, provided an opportunity to learn more about these ecologically beneficial insects, as well as to deepen knowledge about biodiversity and green energy. The day was filled with attractions, including workshops on entomology, renewable energy sources, and beekeeping. Bee Day in Sulechów is part of the Play Green with Us!^® educational program aimed at schools and kindergartens—a unique Polenergia initiative designed to raise climate awareness among students.

Two azalea greenhouses have been opened at schools in the Nowa Sarzyna municipality, where seedlings of the unique yellow rhododendron (Rhododendron luteum, also known as Pontic azalea) were planted. This initiative is the result of cooperation between local primary schools implementing Polenergia’s educational program Play Green with Us!^®.

Polenergia cares about the safety of its employees, which is why on April 9, 2025, we organized a mobile bike service for the third time.

More than 70 educational institutions located near Polenergia Group’s projects worked for the climate during the first semester of the 2024/2025 school year. Teachers engaged over 2,000 students, who spent nearly 400 hours exploring ecological topics.

Taking initiatives for environmental protection is crucial for maintaining the balance of ecosystems and biodiversity. In 2024, the Polenergia Group continued its commitment to actions aimed at making a positive impact and minimizing the negative effects on nature.

Climate education is key to building a future where environmental care becomes an integral part of everyday life.

Polenergia Group actively promotes physical activity among children and young people. Recognizing the importance of an active lifestyle, the Group is involved in initiatives that encourage sports and physical activity.

The 2024 season of the Active Meadow Harrier Protection Programme, run by Polenergia’s Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Department, marked another success in conservation efforts for this unique species.

From April 6th 2024 until the end of June, employees of Polenergia competed and motivated each other in the sports challenge POWER UP! Their kilometers, steps, and even exercise time were converted by Polenergia into a donation of 30,000 PLN in support of the CukierAsy Association!

The latest edition of classes on biodiversity protection was conducted as part of the project Play Green with Us!^® These educational activities were carried out in local primary schools in the municipalities of Grabowo, Rajgród, Kwilcz, and in a kindergarten in the municipality of Żuromin.

The second edition of the educational project Play Green with Us! has come to an end. In the 2023/2024 school year, nearly 7,000 students from over 75 schools participated in the program. More than 2,600 lessons on ecology and climate protection were conducted.

On June 4th, Polenergia organized “Bee Day” at one of the Group’s photovoltaic farms located in the Sulechów municipality. The event was held for the second time in celebration of International Bee Day.

Polenergia Group, as part of its commitment to sustainable development and active protection of the environment, has taken more actions to increase biodiversity.

On 25 May 2024, the first employee volunteer event in the series MAMY MOC! – Eco Rafting on the Liwiec River. The event was attended by 55 Volunteers in 35 canoes, who combined physical activity with an ecological mission and mutual integration.

On April 22nd – as every year – we celebrated Earth Day. Observing this day is very important because it emphasizes concern for the environment and promotes ecological awareness. Through various activities and events, people are encouraged to reflect on the impact of their actions on the planet.

Our large-scale photovoltaic farm projects are not only about increasing renewable energy capacity in the Polish power system.

The construction of the operation and maintenance base for the Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III offshore wind farms will begin in Łeba later this year, employing around 100 specialists. Employment prospects and work on the construction of the base and offshore wind farms were discussed by representatives of investors at a meeting with the residents of Łeba and the surrounding area on March 19th.

The first semester of the second edition of the educational programme Play Green with Us!® has come to an end. Between September and mid-February, more than 800 lessons were delivered by teachers as part of the programme. Nearly 5,000 students participated in eco lessons, eco projects and eco competitions.

Polenergia is carrying out the Climate Reading campaign together with primary schools and kindergartens that are located near Polenergia Group’s existing or planned investments. Climate reading aims to encourage pupils to read books, especially those dealing with nature and climate protection.

Nothing promotes learning more than having fun. That is why Polenergia encourages all the Schools that are involved in the Play Green with Us!® project to organise interesting eco-contests and eco-projects. While participating in them, pupils not only gain new skills or extend their knowledge, but above all have fun.

Aware of the importance of biodiversity as the foundation of life and an important factor in the well-being of people, the environment and the climate, Polenergia is actively involved in protecting ecosystems and enhancing biodiversity. For another year, we have taken action under the Re:Generation program, which is a direct response of UNEP/GRID-Warsaw to the Decade of Ecosystem Restoration announced by the UN from 2021 to 2030.

Polenergia Group, being a leader in the green energy transition, is actively involved in sustainable development. Our ambition is to continuously reduce the negative impact on the environment, primarily by reducing CO₂ emissions while increasing biodiversity, not only on our investment sites.

For several years, Polenergia has been actively involved in campaigns dedicated to the environment. In 2020, we launched the Group Development Strategy, where the issue of climate change is indicated as the basis for the Group’s development.

Taking into account the need for physical activation, especially among children and youth, the Polenergia Group supports initiatives that encourage active lifestyles and promote healthy living. Priorities include projects targeting marginalized communities, children and youth, the elderly, people with disabilities, and children from dysfunctional families.

In September and October 2023, educational sessions led by a nature expert took place in five elementary schools on Polenergia Group’s initiative. The focal theme of this year’s edition was “Protecting Biodiversity – Cavity-Nesting Birds,” directing attention to a crucial aspect of ecosystems. Teaching methods were tailored to the participants’ age, creating an interactive and engaging educational space.

Activities for climate education are part of the Polenergia Group’s Sustainable Development Strategy. We take all environmental activities very seriously, including those carried out as part of school or pre-school education. That is why we are committed to support those educational institutions that operate in communities where Polenergia projects are located and engage in our ‘Green Game’ project. In line with this commitment, we have partnered with the General Education Lyceum No 1 in Nowa Sarzyna to take patronage over their Hydrogen Technology Class.

On September 16th, the second nature walk organized by Polenergia took place, with employees and their families in attendance. The walk provided a perfect opportunity for everyone to relax amidst nature and explore the unique natural beauty of the wetlands located closest to Warsaw’s national park.

The first edition of the educational project Play Green with Us! has ended. From September 2022 to June 2023, over 70 educational institutions took action in support of climate and environmental protection by implementing environmental scenarios.

The aim of the competition was to raise awareness among children about the potential of renewable energy sources. The level of the competition entries was very high, in terms of both content and art.

Poland’s leading installer of photovoltaic systems, Polenergia Fotowoltaika, has donated a solar power station with a capacity of nearly 10 kWp to the Special Needs School and Education Centre in Huta, Mazowieckie Province. This is yet another donation made under the Good Power by Polenergia programme.

On June 1, 2023, on the occasion of Children’s Day, we announced the competition “Nature as the energy of the future”! The aim of the Competition is to make children aware of the advantages of using renewable energy sources, such as sun, wind, water, in the production of devices.

Polenergia employees are very much encouraged to check out the new books in our Company’s Climatic Reading Library. We have decided to restock our Library after a nature walk around Całowanie bog in May. This walk has inspired us to expand our knowledge of ornithology and entomology.

Polenergia supports nature conservation efforts and actively engages in increasing its employees knowledge about the importance of biodiversity conservation.
