With the end of the 2025/2026 school year, the fourth edition of Polenergia’s climate education programme Play Green with Us!® also came to a close. This year’s edition engaged more than 80 educational institutions and over 16,000 students. Throughout the school year, schools and kindergartens delivered more than 2,600 hours of lessons dedicated to ecology, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
During the fourth edition, participants used lesson plans designed for different age groups, ranging from preschool children to students in Years 7–8 of primary school. Lessons were delivered by teachers and educators using educational materials developed by Polenergia in cooperation with leading experts from UNEP/GRID-Warsaw, as well as professors and students from the University of Zielona Góra. Teachers further enriched the lessons with their own ideas and activities tailored to the needs of their students.
One of the programme’s greatest strengths is its emphasis on learning through experience, play, observation, and collaboration. Children discovered practical ways to care for the environment, developed greater environmental awareness, and learned that everyday choices truly make a difference.
At Polenergia, we want not only to develop modern energy solutions but also to support education and build environmental awareness from an early age. Play Green with Us!® demonstrates that climate education can be both meaningful and engaging while remaining accessible to young learners. We are delighted that together with schools and kindergartens we can create opportunities for learning, discussion, and action for the benefit of our environment.

During the 2025/2026 school year, Play Green with Us!® was expanded with several additional initiatives, including Bee Day at the Sulechów Solar Farm (Bee Day with Polenergia for the Fourth Time – ESG Service), the Nature Explorers educational workshops (At one with nature. Nature Explorers as part of the Play Green with Us!® programme – ESG Service), and the Family Academy of Renewable Energy Facts competition for students and their families (Winners of the First Edition of Polenergia’s Family Academy of Renewable Energy Facts Competition Announced – ESG Service). We also launched a new initiative in which Polenergia employees will lead climate education lessons as part of the Mission: Climate Education programme (Mission: Climate Education – ESG Service).
In addition, we introduced a new set of biodiversity lesson plans accompanied by a nature documentary created by one of our long-standing educational partners, Adam Ejnik from Henryk Sienkiewicz Primary School No. 1 in Żuromin. The film, “Biodiversity – Learn to Protect: The White Stork”, introduces the white stork as the programme’s newest educational ambassador (The white stork – the new hero of the Play Green with Us!® program – ESG Service).
The programme’s value is best reflected in the feedback received from teachers and school leaders who delivered the lessons throughout the year.

We rate the Play Green with Us!® programme very highly. What we appreciated most was the variety of activities and their practical nature, which enabled students to actively participate and gain a better understanding of environmental protection issues. The educational materials were attractive, engaging, and well adapted to the children's abilities, effectively supporting the development of environmentally responsible attitudes.
The conclusion of the fourth edition once again demonstrated that environmental education can successfully engage entire school and preschool communities —students, teachers, parents, and caregivers alike. Through joint activities, children learn not only about the environment but also about cooperation, responsibility, and the positive impact they can have on the world around them.
We would like to thank all teachers, school leaders, parents, and students for their commitment to protecting nature and promoting environmental awareness. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September for the 5th anniversary edition of Play Green with Us!®, because TOGETHER WE CAN ACHIEVE MORE!
