Mission: Climate Education

Since 2022, the Polenergia Group has been implementing climate education initiatives, believing that the future of our planet depends on the awareness and engagement of the youngest generations. It is in this spirit that the Play Green with Us^® program was created, aimed at educational institutions located in areas where Polenergia is developing its projects.

Educating children and youth is an investment in a better tomorrow. That’s why Polenergia consistently supports teachers, parents, and educators in providing knowledge about sustainable development in an interesting and engaging way. The lesson plans on topics as important as energy, water management, waste, and biodiversity have been created as a part of the program. Teachers also can receive financial support for implementing their own Eco Projects and Eco Competitions, where children become true ambassadors for change.

In 2026, the program gained a new dimension – employees of the Polenergia Group joined the effort. They lead energy-related activities in schools and preschools participating in the Play Green with Us^® initiative as teachers.

The first classes with Polenergia Group employees as Zosia and Wanda took place at four primary schools in the Płośnica commune. We would like to thank the principals, as well as the teachers from the following schools: Primary School in Gródki, Primary School in Wielki Łęck, Henryk Sienkiewicz Primary School in Niechłonin, and Ewa Szelburg-Zarembina Primary School in Płośnica, for allowing us to conduct eco-friendly classes about energy, and to the students for their fantastic collaborative activities during the classes!

During the classes, preschoolers went on a space mission with Wanda and Zosia to save the Lumi Energy Planet, children in grades 1-3 took on the role of Energy Detectives, and older students debated Poland’s energy future and explored new, innovative solutions. Thanks to the Play Green with Us^® classes, each participant can discover how to care for the environment and build a better world through everyday decisions.

The Play Green with Us^® program is implemented in partnership with UNEP/GRID Warsaw, the Kulczyk Foundation, the University of Zielona Góra, and the Nature Conservation League – Zielona Góra District Board. This unique partnership combines education, science, social organizations, and business in joint action for the climate.

Climate issues are part of our daily lives. That’s why supporting education, especially climate education, and inspiring pro-ecological initiatives are so important to Polenergia. We believe that TOGETHER WE CAN DO MORE! – for people, for the environment, and for the future.
