Occupational safety and health

Polenergia Group, the largest privately owned Polish energy group, has for many years been consistently pursuing the vision of building a zero-emission economy. It operates in the areas of power generation from renewable and low-emission sources, as well as energy distribution and trading. The Group places particular emphasis on ensuring that technological development and the energy transition go hand in hand with the highest safety standards.

At Polenergia, occupational health and safety (OHS) is not merely an obligation—it is a key element of the organisational culture and a testimony to the Group’s responsibility towards its employees, contractors and local communities.

Applying the highest safety standards is an integral element of business activities across all areas  from strategic projects such as the construction of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea with a total capacity of up to 3,000 MW, implemented jointly with the Norwegian company Equinor, to everyday operational work at onshore wind farms and photovoltaic farms.

Polenergia Group implements a coherent and comprehensive approach to occupational health and safety management, which includes:

  • Identifying, assessing and monitoring risks,

  • Ensuring a transparent structure of roles and responsibilities,

  • Reporting and improving OHS processes.

Polenergia believes that all workplace accidents can be prevented. The Group aims to share its experience with subcontractors and partners with whom it builds a safe working environment, and ensures that the standards implemented within the Group companies also apply to them. By focusing on workplace safety, Polenergia expects its business partners to make a joint effort in shaping an accident-free work culture throughout the entire supply chain.

Everyone has the right – and the duty – to contribute to safe working practices and, in the event of a threat, to stop work if conditions are unsafe. The Group is developing a safety culture that promotes open communication, engagement and emergency planning. It also supports education and awareness among employees, recognising that a safe working environment is the foundation of efficiency, innovation and sustainable development.

Safety at Polenergia is not just a principle – it is daily practice.

By consistently implementing modern management systems, promoting responsible behaviours and fostering cooperation at all organisational levels, the Polenergia Group is creating a safe working environment that supports its strategic goal – building a future based on clean, renewable energy.
