Sustainable Development Strategy 2025-2030

The energy sector has a special responsibility for sustainable development. These are energy producers who have a key impact on enabling other market participants, as well as private individuals, to make climate-responsible choices on a daily basis.

In order to meet the expectations of stakeholders, as well as acting in accordance with the adopted Values and the business model, the Polenergia Group sets ambitious goals in this Strategy. Its implementation will ensure the continuity of the Group’s sustainable and responsible operations.

The Polenergia Group has presented a sustainable development strategy that constitutes a comprehensive action plan integrating economic, social, and environmental goals. The document outlines the company's long-term development in a responsible, transparent manner, aligned with sustainable business principles.

Objective of the Sustainable Development Strategy

The main goal of our Strategy is the continuous development of the Polenergia Group’s business while exerting a positive influence and mitigating or preventing negative impacts. In the Polenergia Group’s Sustainable Development Strategy we address topics that are important to us in three areas:

Environmental and climate issues

Issues concerning people and society, including employees

Corporate management and governance

The foundation of the goals of the Sustainable Development Strategy is acting based on the principle of due diligence. At Polenergia, we are aware of the multidimensional impact of business, which is why each of our actions is preceded by research of our impact and effects.

The updated strategy emphasizes the Group’s consistent commitment to protecting natural resources, caring for employees (both its own and those throughout the value chain), supporting local communities, and promoting responsible business practices. Polenergia consistently strives to ensure that all initiatives are align with the principles of sustainable development, providing the foundation for long-term growth and shared prosperity.

By incorporating sustainable development into the Group’s business strategy, our activities are making a tangible contribution to the energy transition. Consistent development of mature corporate governance enables us to plan, prepare, and operate wind farms and photovoltaic farms in a way that assures our clients that the product purchased from the assets we manage is fully compliant with the sustainable development taxonomy. This energy is not only green but also responsibly produced with care for the environment, local communities, and all stakeholders at every stage of the value chain.

Double materiality assessment

From May to August of this year, the Group reviewed the implementation of its previous ESG strategy. As part of this process, the achievement of ESG goals was assessed, and a comprehensive double materiality assessment was conducted, involving individuals responsible for key projects and business processes within the company.

Through a double materiality assessment, we identified significant impacts that are crucial to the Group’s operations. Based on the results of the double materiality assessment, including risk and opportunity analysis, Polenergia has established ESG targets for 2025-2030, with an ambition to reach them by 2035.
