Social impact

Currently, the area of the wind farm is predominantly used for farming, with the surrounding areas being mainly arable land, pastures, meadows and small woodlands. There are also developed areas in the vicinity of the site, i.e. the buildings in the surrounding villages.

Project implementation did not and will not require resettlement of people or businesses, and there has been no loss of income. Land for the Project implementation was obtained on the basis of lease agreements signed with landowners following mutual arrangements.

Szymankowo WF has a direct social and economic impact on the development of all municipalities and residents involved. The following areas of direct impact have been identified:

The negative impact is related to a reduction in the area of land used for farming; however, it will be offset by land lease payments. The area of the wind farm and its infrastructure is limited and the land surrounding the turbines can still be used for farming.
