In addition to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, Grabowo WF will also lead to significant “avoidance” of post-combustion emissions. For example, the equivalent of electricity generated by Poland’s largest coal-fired power plant in Kozienice would result in the following emissions (estimates based on Kozienice Power Plant emission factors
in 2011):

Particulate matter emissions: approximately 10 tonnes/year
SO2 emissions: approximately 10 tonnes/year
Nitrogen oxide emissions: approximately 194 tonnes/year.
