Summary of the First Semester of the Fourth Edition of Polenergia's Climate Education Program, Play Green with Us!®
For nearly four years, Polenergia has been supporting schools and preschools in fostering pro-environmental attitudes. Through the Play Green with Us!® program, implemented in regions where Polenergia’s wind and photovoltaic farms are being built, Polenergia Group inspires students to care for the environment and take local environmental initiatives. The first semester of the 2025/2026 school year concluded with impressive results.
Over 80 educational institutions signed up for the fourth edition of the program, conducting over 6,600 hours of instruction. Over 1,000 students participated in the eco-activities proposed by Polenergia.

Lesson plans developed by Polenergia provide significant support for teachers, including age-group divisions and current references to the core curriculum. Lesson topics are divided into four main areas:
The scenarios fit perfectly into the core curriculum and can be implemented even with limited class time. It was helpful that the scenarios were divided into age groups – this allowed for each topic to be discussed with individual students.
The available materials inspire lessons – they are written in a way that children can understand, spark curiosity, and raise environmental awareness. A visible result of these activities is that students have begun to consciously separate waste at school.
From the outset, the Play Green with Us!® program has emphasized practical learning through action. Many schools have organized nature trips during which children observed biodiversity and understood that everything in nature is interconnected. Activities organized as part of the Polenergia program are not only educational but also provide an experience of cooperation, integration, empathy, and responsibility for nature.
As a teacher leading eco-activities, I highly recommend the Play Green with Us!® program. I especially appreciate its practical nature – students not only gain knowledge but, above all, take real action to help the environment, which strengthens their sense of agency and responsibility. A major advantage is the attractive and well-prepared educational materials and the variety of activities, which can be adapted to the age and abilities of the students.
The Play Green with Us!® program provides valuable support in shaping students' pro-environmental attitudes. A variety of educational materials, exercises, worksheets, quizzes, and creative activities effectively engage children, help connect theory with practice, and encourage reflection on their own choices. I highly recommend the program as inspiring, accessible, and supportive of systematic environmental education.
In the first semester of the fourth edition of the program, schools and preschools implemented 28 eco-projects and 24 eco-competitions, co-financed by Polenergia. As part of these initiatives, students created green spaces, gardens, and eco-corners, promoting environmental awareness and healthy habits. Thanks to the students’ brilliant ideas and the teachers’ generous support, beautiful artistic and technical projects were also created, promoting eco-friendly attitudes.
The ecology project was a valuable and engaging learning experience. The activities fostered environmental awareness, a sense of responsibility for nature, and the belief that even small actions contribute to environmental protection. A major asset was the practical activities, particularly the use of second-hand materials. The students actively participated in the activities. The project was very well received by the students and effectively developed their curiosity, emotions, and engagement. It fostered the development of pro-environmental attitudes, cooperation, and reflection on everyday habits and their impact on the natural environment.
The Climate Reading campaign, which aims to promote reading and books related to ecology and nature, was very popular in the first semester. As part of the campaign, schools and preschools purchased over 700 books, which teachers invited students to read.

Friendly reading corners were created in school libraries, and reading together with a librarian has become a ritual in many schools, fostering reflection on environmental protection and a way to spend quality time.
Each meeting as part of the 'Climate Reading' campaign combined work with purchased reading material with a conversation about ecology, nature conservation, waste segregation, and responsibility for the future of the planet. Reading was a starting point for discussion, group work, and reflection on one's own choices.
The Play Green with Us!® program demonstrates that learning about ecology doesn’t have to be theoretical – it can be engaging, inspiring, and practical. Thanks to the commitment of teachers, the support of Polenergia, and the involvement of students, everyday school education is transforming into real and engaging environmental initiatives.
We extend our sincere thanks to the teachers and principals of schools and preschools for the trust they have placed in us for the fourth consecutive year, and for the wonderful initiatives that, thanks to their commitment and ideas, we can implement together for a greener tomorrow and future generations.
The first semester of the fourth edition of Play Green with Us!® is another step towards increasing environmental awareness, cooperation, and the belief that even small actions have a great power in protecting our planet in schools.
