For many years, the Polenergia Group has been actively involved in initiatives that support biodiversity conservation and the development of local communities. The Biodiversity Strategy forms an integral part of the Group’s responsible business approach, combining energy transition with the protection of the natural environment.
The latest example of implementing this strategy is the mowing of 30 hectares of meadow and reed habitats within the Landscape Park “Przemkowski Park Krajobrazowy”, located in the ecological site known as “Przemkowskie Bagno.” The mowing took place in August as part of a joint local engagement effort by Polenergia and TELE-FONIKA Kable, accompanying the commissioning of Polenergia’s latest photovoltaic investment – the Szprotawa Photovoltaic Farm.
This initiative, carried out in cooperation with the Lower Silesian Landscape Parks Team and a local agricultural farm, plays an essential role in maintaining the proper condition of natural habitats and protecting valuable species. Regular mowing helps limit the spread of shrubs and single-species habitats, supporting the preservation of a rich composition of meadow plants, which serve as nesting grounds for many bird species.
