Managing diversity

Diversity management involves creating and promoting equal opportunities, recognizing the value inherent in differences between people, and leveraging the potential of diversity to effectively achieve organizational goals. For this reason, the Polenergia Group has incorporated diversity and inclusion initiatives into its responsibility strategy and assigned them high priority.

Since 2019, the Polenergia Group has been a signatory to the Diversity Charter (Karta Różnorodności). The Group systematically implements solutions and carries out projects related to this area.

Workforce diversity

The Polenergia Group ensures equal opportunities for access to senior positions and monitors the percentage of women holding key roles. The Group also monitors issues related to equal pay for men and women, the use of maternity and paternity leave, and the rate of return to active employment after the birth of a child.

In 2024, we developed the Polenergia Group Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy. In April 2025, employees were invited to collaborate within the newly established Diversity Committee. The Committee operates as part of the “Energy of Diversity” project and aims to develop proposals for initiatives and actions that foster an open, diverse, and inclusive work environment. The Committee strives to create an environment in which all individuals are treated equally and with respect.
ThePolenergiaGroup Code of Ethics fully implements the principle of equality and non-discrimination based on the characteristics listed in Article 183a §1 of the Polish Labour Code. This provision stipulates that employees should be treated equally in terms of entering into and terminating employment relationships, employment conditions, promotion, and access to training aimed at improving professional qualifications, in particular regardless of gender, age, disability, race, religion, nationality, political beliefs, trade union membership, ethnic origin, creed, sexual orientation, as well as whether employment is for a fixed or indefinite term, or on a full-time or part-time basis.
Through the Work Regulations, Code of Ethics, and Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy, thePolenergiaGroup implements the principle of equal treatment of all employees. The Group also promotes these values among its business partners.
The Group has an Ethics Committee, which reviews reports relating to violations of the Code of Ethics and the Business Partners’ Code of Conduct.

Diversity in Check

Since 2021, the Polenergia Group has participated in the Diversity in Check assessment. As a result, it has been included among the employers most advanced in diversity and inclusion management in Poland.

The assessment was based on international standards and guidelines, including:

ISO 26000;
GRI Standards;
OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

From Play to Action! The 4th Edition of Polenergia’s Climate Education Programme Play Green with Us!^® Comes to an End

With the end of the 2025/2026 school year, the fourth edition of Polenergia’s climate education programme Play Green with Us!^® also came to a close. This year’s edition engaged more than 80 educational institutions and over 16,000 students. Throughout the school year, schools and kindergartens delivered more than 2,600 hours of lessons dedicated to ecology, environmental protection, and sustainable development.

POWER UP! Sports Challenge – 4th Edition Finale

For the fourth year in a row, Polenergia employees have shown that staying active can go hand in hand with making a difference. From the beginning of April until the end of June, participants competed and motivated one another as part of the POWER UP! sports challenge. Once again, Polenergia converted their kilometres, steps and time spent being physically active into meaningful support for the CukierAsy Association, donating PLN 30,000.

Initiatives Supporting Diversity and Equal Opportunities in 2025

At Polenergia, we believe that diversity and equal opportunities are the foundation for building stronger communities as well as more innovative and engaged teams. As a socially responsible organization, in 2025 we implemented a series of initiatives aimed at promoting equal opportunities in local communities and supporting diversity among our employees.

Polenergia Publishes Its Second Sustainability Report Aligned with the CSRD Directive

Polenergia has published its second sustainability report prepared in accordance with the CSRD directive, the EU regulation establishing ESG reporting standards. While this requirement will formally apply to the company starting next year or even 2028 if new EU regulations are implemented, Polenergia is already in compliance. The company’s 2024 report has been positively assessed by an independent auditor.
