Polenergia organized a webinar for teachers from schools and kindergartens participating in the Play Green with Us!® educational program, developed in collaboration with the Kulczyk Foundation and UNEP/GRID-Warsaw. The meeting focused on the new set of lesson plans titled "Nature Challenges! Biodiversity – Learn to Preserve!".
During lessons based on the new workbook, students will have the opportunity to learn what biodiversity is and the vital role it plays. They will also discover the threats to biodiversity and, together with their teachers, reflect on what actions we can take today to ensure that future generations can fully appreciate the richness of the natural world.
The substantive part of the webinar was led by experts from the University of Zielona Góra and the League for Nature Conservation, who authored the lesson plans and accompanying tasks. These specialists shared methods for engaging students, recommended useful books, articles, and other resources that teachers can use for inspiration and knowledge in conducting biodiversity-themed classes.
The teachers were very pleased to discuss the new educational workbook and asked many questions. Nearly 70 educators participated in the webinar, finding it highly informative and valuable in enhancing teaching methods on nature and climate topics.
