Polenergia’s Collaboration with the Lesław Paga Foundation: A Strategic Partnership for Developing Future Talent in the Energy Sector

For the past five years, Polenergia Group has been a strategic partner of the Energy Leaders Academy, organized by the Lesław A. Paga Foundation and aimed at fostering the next generation of leaders in the energy industry.

Polenergia considers its long-term collaboration with the Foundation as a significant and strategic project for the development of future professionals in the energy sector. By presenting our responsible approach to project development, which makes a meaningful contribution to sustainable development, energy transition, and regional decarbonization efforts, we introduce participants to modern project management models and an innovative approach to supporting and building a green economy. The energy sector is a key pillar of the economy in the face of climate challenges. Educating young people and future energy professionals in the spirit of sustainable development is not only our responsibility but also a great pleasure. At the same time, it provides an opportunity for the professional growth of our own employees, who can share their knowledge and unique experiences with participants.

President of the Management Board of Polenergia

The Energy Academy, through collaboration with the business sector, presents the energy industry in a comprehensive and holistic way, providing participants with access to up-to-date knowledge and best market practices. The 13th edition of the Energy Academy was held under the slogan “Energy for Generations.”

Over the five years of this strategic partnership, specialists from Polenergia Group have delivered numerous lectures showcasing the company’s unique business model. These sessions covered the preparation process for constructing offshore wind farms, as well as the skills needed in the onshore renewable energy sector. Participants had the opportunity to delve into topics such as green energy sales, the prosumer market, and the path to decarbonization.

Thanks to Polenergia’s business model—which encompasses project development, operation, the sale of its own green energy, and the advancement of electromobility—Polenergia’s experts were able to introduce Academy participants to the world of tomorrow’s sustainable energy, which supports local communities and biodiversity.

Participation in the Energy Academy provides an opportunity to embrace new standards, tackle challenges, and explore modern solutions.

Moreover, for the past three years, Polenergia Group has been a strategic partner of the ESG Leaders Academy, also organized by the Lesław A. Paga Foundation. This program is designed for individuals who lead or aspire to lead ESG transformations within organizations and understand that navigating the complexities of modern business requires creating value for all stakeholders.

The program supports leaders in driving change—from analyzing and developing ESG strategies that align with business models in pursuit of sustainable development, through showcasing best practices in ESG reporting, to soft skills training such as negotiation and change management within organizations.

On January 11, the third session of this year’s edition of the ESG Leaders Academy was held at Polenergia’s headquarters. The Saturday workshops were rich in new insights on sustainable development and practical industry experiences.

Marta Porzuczek, Director of the Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Department, presented Polenergia Group’s vision, which is steadfastly committed to achieving a zero-emission economy. She discussed building a competitive edge through sustainability, opportunities offered by sustainable financing (such as the Green Bond Framework), and methods for implementing the ESG Strategy at every organizational level.

Next, Magdalena Głowacka-Lorek (ESG Manager) and Agnieszka Łukasiak (Senior ESG Specialist) conducted a lecture on best practices in corporate social engagement. The session sparked an inspiring discussion on authentic actions to support communities as well as employees. Together, participants explored specific initiatives in the area of social engagement that deliver tangible benefits to communities and employees alike. The discussion also examined methods for measuring the impact and effectiveness of such projects, as well as the importance of building trust through transparent communication.

Following that, Małgorzata Czarnecka (Senior Environmental Protection Specialist) and Izabela Kozłowska (Compliance Director) conducted a workshop titled “Educational and Regulatory Actions in Preparing Suppliers.” During the session, they discussed the role of the Supplier Code of Conduct and key ESG standards, analyzed methods for verifying and auditing suppliers, and emphasized the importance of education and shared responsibility for the entire value chain.

The unique educational programs of the Lesław Paga Foundation play a crucial role in building a modern workforce and redefining sustainable development as the foundation and common denominator of the global economy. We are proud to contribute to this educational mission as a Strategic Partner and to share our best practices.

The participants of the third session of the Academy highly appreciated all the presentations and the opportunity to network. Promoting responsible business practices and supporting the role of women in the professional world is an important aspect of Polenergia Group’s activities.

We firmly believe that through joint efforts, we can accelerate sustainable development and contribute to building a better, greener future.
