New Set of Lesson Scenarios as Part of the Play Green with Us!® Program

The Polenergia Group engages in activities aimed at protecting biodiversity within all its projects, including wind farms and photovoltaic installations. These efforts align directly with the Sustainable Development Goals and the EU Biodiversity Strategy, which is part of the European Green Deal. In line with Polenergia Group’s ESG Strategy, the Biodiversity Strategy was developed and implemented in early 2024. At Polenergia, we recognize that investment processes must be carried out with due diligence in protecting valuable species and ecosystems.

Since 2022, Polenergia has been fostering exemplary cooperation with educational institutions in areas where the Group develops its projects. As part of this collaboration, the ecological education project Play Green with Us!® has been implemented. 

Together with engaged educational institutions, Polenergia has undertaken numerous environmental activities over the past two years, raising awareness among students about climate change. Teachers have actively implemented the Play Green with Us!® lesson plans across three areas:

• Circular economy and waste segregation – Smart Waste Advice, 

• Renewable energy sources – Acting with Energy, 

• Water management – Water Brings Health. 

Starting in September 2024, we are launching the third edition of the Play Green with Us!® project. Along with this edition, we invite schools and kindergartens to engage in eco-classes using a new set of lesson plans focused on biodiversity:
Nature’s Challenges! Biodiversity – Understand to Preserve! 

The new lesson plans were developed by Polenergia Group in collaboration with students and professors from the University of Zielona Góra, who are active members of the League for Nature Conservation. Thanks to the involvement of young researchers and the guidance of experienced professors, a comprehensive set of highly engaging lessons on biodiversity was created.

Through participation in the new eco-classes under the Play Green with Us!® program, students will gain insight into what biodiversity is and its significance. They will also learn about the threats to biodiversity and, together with their teachers, explore ways we can act today to ensure future generations can fully appreciate the richness of the natural world. 

The new set of lesson plans aims to support teachers in conducting engaging and interactive lessons. It includes tasks and exercises designed to foster out-of-the-box thinking and sensitivity to the environment. We strive to inspire the younger generation to appreciate the beauty of nature, understand its importance, and learn how we can collectively care for it.
