Final of the Latest Edition of the ESG Leaders Academy. Polenergia as Strategic Partner

More than 30 participants took part in the recently concluded second edition of the ESG Leaders Academy, organized by the Lesław A. Paga Foundation. Once again, Polenergia served as the strategic partner of this initiative.

As the largest privately-owned energy group in Poland, Polenergia sets market best practices in the field of ESG and is eager to share its knowledge on the subject. The ongoing eight-year collaboration with the Foundation serves as a strong example of this commitment. Polenergia has partnered with the Lesław A. Paga Foundation since 2017, initially supporting seven editions of the Energy Leaders Academy, followed by two editions of the Women in Business Academy, ultimately co-creating a new version of the program under the name ESG Leaders Academy.

During the official closing ceremony, months of intensive learning and engagement were summarized. Over the course of five weekends, the participants—leaders of ESG transformation within their respective organizations—delved into the complexities of ESG, ranging from legal frameworks and double materiality analysis to the effective implementation of developed strategies. They also examined sustainable solutions across various industries, including the energy sector.

ESG is a team effort. It takes time and the involvement of many people across the company, not just the ESG department—but the effort pays off. The Polenergia Group demonstrates that voluntary ESG implementation brings tangible benefits. Our green, EU taxonomy-aligned projects receive preferential financing conditions. We run a responsible business and will continue to build due diligence in the ESG area.

Marta Porzuczek

Head of the Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Department at Polenergia Group

Since 2017, nearly 1,000 hours of classes have been delivered as part of initiatives jointly organized with the Lesław A. Paga Foundation, educating a total of 310 Foundation Alumni and holding almost 100 meetings with business leaders.

It must be said that the first building block for the ESG Leaders Academy was laid by Polenergia, this year’s Strategic Partner. Without their involvement, this project would never have come to life. We are proud to have been creating added value for the Polish economy together for years.

Creator of the ESG Leaders Academy
