Polenergia as an Example of Energy Transition in Harmony with Nature

UN Global Compact Network Poland has published the report “Business and Nature – A Guide to Business Impacts on Water and Biodiversity.”

Water and biodiversity are essential resources for the functioning of the economy, from energy and agriculture to industry, construction and the technology sector. Their protection is becoming increasingly important in the face of climate change, growing pressure on ecosystems, and challenges related to water and food security.

The UN Global Compact Network Poland report on water and biodiversity outlines the key regulations, economic challenges and best practices that support responsible management of business impacts on the environment. The publication includes recommendations on, among other things, reducing negative impacts on nature, adapting to climate change, developing nature-based solutions, and financing initiatives to protect natural resources.

The report also features Polenergia as an example of “Energy Transition in Harmony with Nature,” highlighting the importance of taking environmental needs into account in the energy transition process.

We invite you to read the full report on the UN Global Compact Network Poland website: Premiera raportu „Biznes a przyroda – przewodnik po wpływie na wodę i bioróżnorodność” – UNGC. The Polenergia case study can be found on pages 86–87.
