For the fourth year in a row, Polenergia employees have shown that staying active can go hand in hand with making a difference. From the beginning of April until the end of June, participants competed and motivated one another as part of the POWER UP! sports challenge. Once again, Polenergia converted their kilometres, steps and time spent being physically active into meaningful support for the CukierAsy Association, donating PLN 30,000.
On 9 July, we officially presented the donation cheque to Mikołaj Illukowicz, President of the CukierAsy Association.

This year’s edition brought together as many as 235 participants, who formed 15 teams.

The CukierAsy Association promotes healthy lifestyles and supports the sporting development of children and young people living with type 1 diabetes. It also provides education for children, parents and school teachers to help make knowledge about diabetes and healthy habits widely accessible.
The aim of our initiative was not only to support the CukierAsy Association, but also to promote healthy lifestyles among our employees and encourage regular physical activity. The challenge was designed so that everyone could choose activities best suited to their abilities and interests.
Participants earned points by walking, running and cycling, as well as swimming, strength training and taking part in many other sports. Both outdoor and indoor activities counted, whether at the gym, at home or during team sports such as tennis or volleyball. The wide variety of disciplines meant that everyone could take part while doing what they enjoyed most.
According to the post-challenge survey, for yet another year the strongest motivation for participants was the opportunity to support a worthwhile cause, closely followed by the chance to connect with colleagues across the company.
Congratulations once again to Maria Danko, who claimed first place in the individual ranking, and to the undefeated Czarna Materia team, consisting of: Maria Danko, Łukasz Jakubowski, Rafał Barchanowski, Michał Kukurba, Daniel Kordek, Piotr Choruży, Jagoda Rola, Tomasz Sobociński, Karina Michaluk and Klaudia Łukasiuk. Your commitment and determination continue to inspire us all.💚
