Bee Day with Polenergia for the Fourth Time

Bee Day with Polenergia for the Fourth Time

At the beginning of June, the Sulechów Photovoltaic Farm once again became a place for a unique meeting with nature and renewable energy sources. Polenergia welcomed nearly 100 students from schools and a kindergarten in Sulechów as part of the fourth edition of Bee Day, organised under the Play Green with Us® climate education programme.

The event featured outdoor workshops devoted to solar energy, beekeeping and insect observation. Working in small groups, the children were able to actively participate in the activities and explore both nature and modern energy solutions in a practical and engaging way.

We are very happy that, for the fourth year in a row, we can invite children to discover the world of bees, nature and green energy together with us. We believe that meetings like this not only educate, but also inspire young people to be mindful, curious and responsible towards the environment.

Marta Porzuczek

Director of the Environmental Protection and Sustainability Department and ESG Coordinator at Polenergia S.A.

The operation of the photovoltaic farm was presented by Polenergia Group project managers: Adam Maliszewski, Michał Mroczkowski, Krzysztof Mielczarek and Michał Suszko. Workshops on bees and their role in nature, as well as candle-making sessions using beeswax, were led by Krystian Bedynek, the beekeeper responsible for Polenergia’s apiary.

The children also had an opportunity to discover the world of insects during sessions led by Antoni Białek, a graduate of the University of Zielona Góra. The creative part of the programme was prepared by Ms Katarzyna Herman, a student at the Faculty of Biology of the University of Zielona Góra, who invited participants to decorate cotton bags.

Together with students and teachers, we show that environmental education can be inspiring, practical and full of positive energy. We are pleased that the Play Green with Us® climate education programme continues to attract such strong interest each year.

We would like to thank all teachers for their commitment and trust.

Together, we can achieve more!
